ITL BioMedical’s hot pink scooter scheme a runaway success
The unique HR initiative involved giving hot pink Yamaha scooters to employees at its manufacturing facility in Ipoh, Malaysia, to promote staff loyalty and allow workers to have greater independence in their every day lives.
“We train our staff extensively at ITL BioMedical, so keeping them with us for as long as possible is very important to us,” Mr Mobbs told CEO Magazine.
“We’re confident our scooter scheme will help us attract and retain our highly-skilled local workforce for the longer term.”

Giving employees the freedom to travel
A significant benefit of the scooter scheme is that it allows our manufacturing employees to be more independent, according to ITL BioMedical general manager Craig Wilson.
“While we have a bus service that transports our employees to and from home, the rest of the time they might not have access to transport.
“The new scooters give our employees and their families the freedom to travel independently outside of work.”
